Carol was a founder of the Colorado Chapter, US Green Building Council (USGBC) and served as Finance Chair for several years.  The USGBC is the administrator of the LEED building rating system.  Her Master's Thesis was on green marketing trends.  Through this she queries her manufacturer's heavily on their enviro-statement.  She will not represent the line if she feels it is over-stated or mis-representing.

Eco Domo Natural or Recycled Leather Tile and More

Eco Domo Luxury Tiles are made of recycled leather and offer beauty and durability.  The above is a picture of the elevator lobby in the Bank of America LEED Platinum building in New York City.  The product has also been featured in Hell's Kitchen, Rachel Ray, Real Wives of Orange County and others.  It's been used commercially and residentially-- small homes to multi million dollar homes.  Other applications include home gyms, staircases, yachts, facing cabinets and counters, ceilings and desk inlays.  It is used on walls and floors.

This is a beautiful product made of rubber and cork mix.  The palette is unbelievable!  Made from 65% recycled and renewable cork and 35% rubber.  It is a high performance floor covering that is more comfortable, quiet and green than any standard rubber flooring available today.  The product is available embossed, adding enhanced slip resistance and natural texture.  Great price points! 

Moisture Testing

In our experience the #1 installation related reason floors fail is failure to test for moisture.  We offer independent moisture testing via the calcium chloride or relative humidity (in situ).  Failure to conduct this test and to document results is the quickest way to void a warranty.  Thirteen flooring industry associations and organizations endorse independent moisture testing.  They include the World Floor Covering Association, StarNet Commercial Flooring Cooperative, the Resilient Floor Covering Institute, Professional Flooring Installers Association, The Carpet & Rug Institute, The International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association and more.

One of the biggest issues with the calcium chloride test is that it is easily disturbed.  The VaporGauge kit is RED, it stands out so other trades are less likely to kick or walk on it.  It also comes in the traditional clear.
